What types and sizes of sliding doors/windows does SmartSlydr support?
SmartSlydr is compatible with sliding door/window sizes with a horizontal sliding panel that has a width between 18 inches to 60 inches. The total width of the sliding part of your door or window should be between 36 inches and 144 inches. A two, three, or four-panel door or window can work with SmartSlydr – Please check the compatible door & window chart at this link
Can SmartSlydr open my heavy sliding door/window?
If you can move the sliding door or window with one hand, that is a good sign that SmartSlydr will work for you. SmartSlydr will also come with quick cleaning and lubrication kit for your convenience. Most of the time heavy doors & windows need just a bit of cleaning and lubrication to make them work smoothly. If you are interested in numbers, SmartSlydr can pull the heaviest door with 18 lbs of force. For reference dors with clean tracks with decent lubrication need 5-10 lbs of force. Is the "Pet Pass" the same as the "OneButton" wireless remote?
Yes, the wireless SmartSlydr remote can either be configured as a “OneButton” remote for people or a PetPass for pets. This is set during the initial configuration using our app. The Pet Pass goes on your pet’s collar. When the pet approaches a SmartSlydr door it sends you a smartphone notification to allow the pet in/out. The “OneButton” remote works just like a keychain, or it can be attached to a walker or wheelchair for easy access. Works up to 20 feet away from SmartSlydr.
How do I set up a SmartSlydr? Do I need special tools or professional help to install SmartSlydr?
No special tools or professional help is required! With our patent-pending custom design, we have made the installation process as easy as hanging a picture frame. SmartSlydr attaches via 2 options: clamps
(top mount, requires a screwdriver, best for doors), or adhesive strip
(bottom mount, best for windows). One small adhesive part attaches
to the moving door/window panel on the other side of it to align SmartSlydr.
