We recommend cleaning and lubricating the door every six months.

Brackets Marking

Standard Size SmartSlydr (Small/Medium/Large)

Refer to the below figure A for left moving panel and figure B for right moving panel and identify the location where to install SmartSlydr. Mark the position for two brackets (C), ensuring that they are approximately one foot from both ends of SmartSlydr.

If the sliding and fixed panels have similar dimensions, align one end of SmartSlydr with the fixed panel end. Refer the figure A and B.

However, if the fixed side is bigger, fully open the sliding panel and align the edge of the moving panel with the inner side of the SmartSlydr side cap. Refer the figure C.

Small end bracket can be install after the SmartSlydr is attached in step 1.4.a.

Mounting Brackets - Top Surface

Position the Bracket (C) on the top surface.

Insert the Measuring Tool (B) in between Bracket (C) and the frame to ensure the recommended distance away from the frame.

Mount both Brackets (C) with provided self-threading Screws (D) using a screw driver.

(In less likely situation if a stud is not present behind the drywall, you might need to use drywall anchors. If you have metal other than aluminum on the top, use a drill bit - smaller than your screws - to drill pilot holes through your bracket marks.)

Verify the Gap

Please check that the backside silicon strip of the SmartSlydr head is not touching the door frame.

Look at the pictures below for help. If it's touching, move the SmartSlydr metal brackets outwards to create sufficient gap.

Do not ignore this step.

If this issue left uncorrected, can cause issues during calibration.

Mount Small End Bracket

Position the Small End Bracket (H) at the end of the SmartSlydr.

Remove the backing from adhesive tape and stick it on the top surface as shown in the picture. It can be secured with a screw if end bracket does not stick firmly.

Do not screw on the front edge if Small End bracket(H) is on the door frame.

If there is no top surface available, it can be stick to the front edge.

If the opposite edge of the SmartSlydr is not in contact with the wall, please secure it using the End Bracket as well.

It is crucial to follow this step, as neglecting it could potentially cause the SmartSlydr to shift horizontally from the metal brackets, leading to compromised functionality.

Please Note: The warranty will be void if the end bracket(s) are not properly installed as recommended.

Corner Cap Marking

Keep the moving panel in the closed position, and place the Measuring Tool (B) with the short edge touching the SmartSlydr as show in the picture to mark the bottom edge.

Similarly Open the moving panel and mark the bottom edge.

Ideally both marking should be the same or less than 1 cm (3/8 inch).

In less likely situation where the distance between the two markings is greater than 1 cm (3/8 inch), leveling is required. This can be done by placing padding between the brackets.

Now detached the front edge of Corner Cap (F) using Measuring Tool (B).

Remove backing from the adhesive tape. (1) Keep pressure on the side edge, and (2) Stick the front edge and apply pressure for a few seconds to ensure it is properly secure.

Apply the self-threading screw if the Corner Cap (F) is not adhering well to the door frame material, or if there is not enough area for the adhesive pads to stick firmly on the frame.

Antenna Installation Instructions

Preparation:

Important Note: Take time to thoroughly review the information as this step is critical for the proper functioning of the PetPass feature. The antenna sensor strip is designed to adhere only once. Attempting to remove and reposition it may result in damage and issue with Wifi/Bluetooth communication.

Temporary Setup: Use masking tape to temporarily install the antenna and find the optimal spot.

Positioning the Antenna:

The thin adhasive stip is the actual sensor. Do not cut it.

Attach the thin strip in the pocket between the door frame. The goal is to have the thin strip as far out in the pocket as possible when the door is closed. This placement is crucial for the antenna to receive signals from outside when the door is closed.

Watch the Video: Refer to the video for proper positioning of the antenna.

To prevent the white wire from dangling, utilize the organizer clips to fasten it in place.

Securing the Antenna:

Once you've found the optimal spot using masking tape, securely stick the antenna in place after a few days to ensure better performance.

Organize the Wire: Use the provided custom designed organizer clips to fasten the white cable in place and prevent it from dangling.
